Who Cork The Dance is a treasure trove of sound tapes - recordings of reggae sound systems and MCs live in session in dancehalls across Jamaica, the UK and the US, going back to the 1970s.
Includes recordings of legendary Jamaican sound systems like Killamanjaro, King Jammy's Superpower and Junjo Lawes's Volcano Hi Power - with Barrington Levy, Josey Wales, Eekamouse and Yellowman on the mic. The site also has tapes of famed UK sounds like Sir Coxsone Outernational, Saxon - with MCs such as Smiley Culture, Tippa Irie and Supercat - and of course the Mighty Jah Shaka (
prev). There's also tapes from the "ragga" 1990s sets like Stone Love (and a tape of Beenie Man battling Bounty Killer from 1995) and an extremely rare tape of King Tubby's Hometown Hi Fi with U Roy on the mic from the mid-1970s.
