one of my ALL.TIME.FAVORITE.CATS.EVAR!!!!

they are so cute. so thicc and fluff. I want to hold one and see how deep my fingers sink into its fur before I touch cat. with their round pupils they have an air of arcane wisdom. would donate that blood happily to pet one.

also, this is very cool. 16k ft is pretty high. I like the insane assortment of leopard type creatures too: snow leopards, common leopards, clouded leopards, leopard cats.

I like to see them walk; they have perfected the sticky swagger. Truly A+++ catting.

Sadly, they are apparently very vulnerable to common domestic cat diseases, so they need to be carefully isolated in zoos, and we will never have Pallas pets¡­.

That¡¯s very cute. Cats are amazing creatures and tend to express their feelings with their care takers quiet often.

Oh, I would love to pet the Pallas kitty, in spite of their big fuzzy murder mittens. But that's just being a silly human, because their wild, as they should be.

And perhaps this Pallas is grumpy because there are no tiny towns and houses, with or without windows and curtains.

This is so cool. And while I had vaguely heard of Pallas cats before, the piece made me realize how many types of cats exist that I dont know about. I had to look up marbled cat, for one.

Brookfield Zoo in Chicago has a Pallas cat. Room is setup with a climbable cliff wall, while the public is well-distanced on a bridge through the center of the room. He's very well camoflaged when still, but has a lot of freedom of movement.

They also had a sand cat in a separate enclosure, but it was asleep the whole time I was there, curled up in a blue blankie in its hammock.

Beautiful animals.
