This video is beautifully done, and I found it almost unbearably painful. Richard's silence, emotional lability, and physical frailty alongside Victoria's bright-eyed stream of fantastical statements and vague-but-emphatic pronouncements were just far too like my own parents' way of being as one grew sicker with Alzheimer's and the other grew more manic and disconnected under the strain of caregiving. I know I'm projecting; I recognize that my own experience is why I found this so triggering. But by god am I worried for these two lovely people.

Wow, what a beautiful vessel and a lovely couple. I can only imagine the work they put into making Yankee what it is and the upkeep must be horrendous. I'm also worried for both of them - it's hard to imagine either surviving without the other.

I'm with minervous on this one. I've enjoyed much of the content on that YouTube channel, but I couldn't bear to watch the whole way through this video. I caught the beginning of one of Richard's breakdowns, something significant obviously having been edited out, which put me on alert for what might be going on... I suffer from Complex PTSD, and my anxiety was so triggered by the deep distress of one member of that couple, and it being ignored by the other one and by the videographer and editor, who may be the same person, that I had to shut it down, to preserve my own emotional wellness. Ah. Darn it. I can feel my whole body starting to tighten up, now, just remembering it...
