Does Pitchfork Advance work for anyone, ever? I've tried it on Chrome, both Mac and Win7, both vanilla and Incognito, Safari and Firefox on the Mac, and Firefox on Win7. Pages load, but no sound ever plays; the bar on the bottom will say "Loading [track]" but no sound ever comes out.comment:www.metafilter.com,2014:site.136945-5435826Tue, 25 Feb 2014 10:08:12 -0800ShepherdBy: Shepherd

Now I feel bad: please don't let me derail the thread if this thing works for you; I've just been trying it off and on for weeks and it's frustrating. But I don't want to derail this into a Pitchfork Implementation Problems thread.
Not incidentally, my wife and I watched Darjeeling Limited on Sunday, and agreed that it is our least favourite Anderson movie and our favourite, to date, Anderson soundtrack. I'm looking forward to hearing this one, eventually.comment:www.metafilter.com,2014:site.136945-5435831Tue, 25 Feb 2014 10:11:59 -0800ShepherdBy: thelonius

Fantastic Mr. Fox is a SUPERB soundtrack. I thought I'd love Moonrise Kingdom and I bought it almost immediately after seeing the movie, but it's Fanatastic Mr. Fox that practically lives in the CD player at work. If you do not have it, buy it. If you cannot buy it, steal it, it's thematic.comment:www.metafilter.com,2014:site.136945-5436040Tue, 25 Feb 2014 11:33:17 -0800maryrBy: Sys Rq

I'm not saying I dislike the soundtrack, but it all screams "Wes Anderson Soundtrack" to me.
Like I enjoy it, but I have heard it before, and I like the Rushmore and Royal Tenenbaums soundtracks better.comment:www.metafilter.com,2014:site.136945-5436267Tue, 25 Feb 2014 13:13:10 -0800deancBy: hippybear

I get the page to work by going to the top bar and revealing the track list and clicking (or is it double-clicking?) on the first track. The entire album then plays just fine. (Mac, Safari)comment:www.metafilter.com,2014:site.136945-5436945Tue, 25 Feb 2014 19:51:02 -0800hippybearBy: rebent

¡°Why?¡± asked Larry, in his practical way. "Sergeant," admonished the Lieutenant, "you mustn't use such language to your men." "Yes," accorded Shorty; "we'll git some rations from camp by this evenin'. Cap will look out for that. Meanwhile, I'll take out two or three o' the boys on a scout into the country, to see if we can't pick up something to eat." Marvor, however, didn't seem satisfied. "The masters always speak truth," he said. "Is this what you tell me?" MRS. B.: Why are they let, then? My song is short. I am near the dead. So Albert's letter remained unanswered¡ªCaro felt that Reuben was unjust. She had grown very critical of him lately, and a smarting dislike coloured her [Pg 337]judgments. After all, it was he who had driven everybody to whatever it was that had disgraced him. He was to blame for Robert's theft, for Albert's treachery, for Richard's base dependence on the Bardons, for George's death, for Benjamin's disappearance, for Tilly's marriage, for Rose's elopement¡ªit was a heavy load, but Caro put the whole of it on Reuben's shoulders, and added, moreover, the tragedy of her own warped life. He was a tyrant, who sucked his children's blood, and cursed them when they succeeded in breaking free. "Tell my lord," said Calverley, "I will attend him instantly." HoME²Ô¾®¿Õ·¬ºÅѸÀ×Á´½Ó
